Care homes and residences: reliable tools for staff and residents.
In a care home (EHPAD), a retirement home or an independent living residence, digital tools support welcoming families, coordinating care, residents' daily lives and administration. Skill Group helps you organise this IT and telecom scope with your management and your teams.
Very different uses under one roof.
Care staff, hospitality teams, reception, administration, residents and families do not have the same needs. We start from your premises, your hours and the tools already in place, including the care software and its support rules.
An independent living residence, a standalone care home and a facility that belongs to a group are not scoped in the same way.
Wi-Fi for staff, residents and visitors.
Care tablets, trolleys, rooms and communal areas: professional Wi-Fi is planned around the areas actually in use. Staff, resident and visitor access is kept separate, and priority uses are defined with the facility.
Reaching the home and its teams, day and night.
Family calls, department lines, night staff and on-call rotas: business telephony is built with the people who answer. Care staff mobile phones and call forwarding are tested inside the buildings.
Nurse call and resident protection systems are the responsibility of their suppliers. We coordinate with them on connections to the network and telephony when this is planned.
Protecting residents' information.
Care records, shared accounts and access for external practitioners require permissions that are kept under review. Backup and disaster recovery are planned around the uses that cannot be interrupted.
Hosting health data with a third party requires a specific certification (HDS, for health data hosting), checked with your managers and software vendors.
One point of contact for everyday needs.
New staff, temporary cover, shared workstations and equipment renewal: user support saves your teams from having to work out who to call. For several facilities, follow-up is coordinated in the same way as for multi-site SMEs.
Preparing a first conversation.
Tell us the type of facility, the number of buildings and the difficulties you are facing. Do not include any resident information or medical data in the form.
Your questions
Do you work on the nurse call system?
It is the responsibility of its supplier. We coordinate with them on network, Wi-Fi or telephony matters, when this is included in the scope.
Do you also support independent living residences and serviced residences?
Yes. Needs often relate to reception, residents' Wi-Fi and administration. The scope is adapted to your facility.
Can you look after several facilities in the same group?
Yes, with site-by-site scoping and common rules defined with management.
Got a digital issue? You don’t have to work out who should handle it.
Describe your situation in your own words. The Skill Group team will get back to you to talk it through.
