Change provider without discovering dependencies at the last minute.
You want to change the support you receive. Before the switchover date, you need to know what has to be transferred, what stays in place and who signs off each step.
List everything that depends on the provider.
Support, licences, hosting, domain, backup, equipment: these do not necessarily fall under the same contracts. Gather the documents available and identify the contract holders and end dates. Reading the contract terms remains essential.
Organise the handover.
Skill Group can help you define the information needed for the takeover: inventory, diagrams, contacts, procedures and administrator rights. Login credentials must never be sent through the public form. A secure channel is set up for the authorised transfer.
Set the criteria for a successful takeover.
The schedule should specify the services involved, the people responsible and the checks expected. An application being reachable does not prove that all rights or all scenarios are correct. Representative users take part in the validation.
Clarify the new way of working.
After the transition, teams need to know the support channel and who is responsible for what. Anything not taken over, or still dependent on a third party, stays visible. A successful handover does not remove the limits of the existing environment: it means they can be dealt with in an organised way.
Your questions
Can you cancel my contracts for me?
No contract is cancelled without an explicit mandate and a check of the terms.
Do we need to replace everything?
No. Taking over and modernising are two separate decisions.
