Your connection keeps dropping. The investigation should not go round in circles.
The telecom operator points to the local network. The IT provider mentions the fibre line. What your teams mainly see is work being interrupted. The observations need to be put back in the right order.
The clues that really help.
Note the time, the services affected and the people concerned. Does the problem occur on a single workstation, over Wi-Fi, or also on devices connected by cable? Do a call and an application cut out at the same moment? This information helps prepare the checks, without changing your installation.
Several causes are still possible.
The operator's access line, a piece of local equipment, wireless coverage or an application could be the cause. Without measurements, jumping straight to the conclusion that you need a different plan risks moving the problem rather than solving it.
A coordinated investigation.
Skill Group starts with the affected scope and the information available. The agreed checks make it possible to link the symptoms to the components involved and to identify the right contacts. Any operation likely to interrupt a service is prepared with you.
Fix first, then think about continuity.
Depending on the findings, the next steps may involve the local network, the Wi-Fi, the operator's offer or the application. If the impact of the outages justifies it, we can also look at the conditions for a backup connection. It does not replace identifying the original problem.
Your questions
Should I restart all the equipment?
Avoid unplanned changes made all at once. Keep a record of your observations and follow the support channel set out by your organisation.
Is the speed shown enough to explain the problem?
No. A single measurement does not necessarily reflect conditions at the time of the incident.
